I have been reading Dick Morris’s blog (a former Bill Clinton adviser and Hillary Clinton critic) and he is painting a scenario where the Clintons quietly undermine Obama’s campaign.
His premise is that the Clintons usurp the media attention at the convention and then use offhand comments to derail his candidacy. Then when he loses they come back in 2012 and explain that the Democrats should have supported Hillary in ’08 . Bill Clintons “off hand comments” have already suggested Morris knows exactly what they are up too.
Though I have my apprehensions about Obama I pity him in going up against the Clintons. They talk about what they have done for the Democratic Party but they are only concerned about their own power. If it helps the Democrats that’s fine but if they need to crush Obama (subtly) and hurt the Democrats for their own gain, so be it.
